Thoughts from the Vigil Site

Dear 'Committee',

I've been back a number of times, with great experiences. Friday morning, Elena & Marie the gals who MC'd the Kick-off Rally were there. Ted came from Calvary Chapel Vista. Later, Ann from St Elizabeth came, and the gal (Kim) who runs the ultrasound trailer came, too! We were finishing up a rosary, and Ted told us to continue, grabbed a kneeler pad, and silently prayed with us. Afterwards, I asked him how he would like to pray, so we could be 'together'. We prayed extemporaneously, and also read scripture. Then he wanted to "do the walk" around the premises, and we prayed & sang aloud. Dr Kung arrived for work while we were praying. What an experience! And the ultrasound gal had a letter from one of her clients; apparently, she encouraged her to write it, regarding the remorse and repercussions of the abortions she had under the "care" of Dr. Kung - and will be mailing a copy to him!!!

I noticed that one security camera had changed its focus toward the building entrance...

Noticing in all the excitement that I forgot my beach chair, I went back later in the day. 2 college students from USD & SD State were there, holding signs on the corner. We prayed and shared, then they left, hoping to return with a group on Sunday (probably after 3:00). I stayed by myself, hoping someone would show up, and God provided. Misael from St Pat's came, a very prayerful young man, and the last rosary we did together, he tried to teach me how to pray it in Spanish. Then as he left, Annette from St. Pat's came, and we shared a joyful time. When again no one showed up, we walked to G's and she was just arriving home!!!! She's amazing. She shared a story of the 1st day, which was Padre Pio's feast day, how she went all through the building with a relic of Padre Pio, discretely and unnoticed. Upon returning to our cars, more people showed up - a couple from St Thomas More, who brought their own placards with abortion statistics. Then Misael returned and 5 Calvary gals. We felt comfortable leaving, since there seemed to be adequate coverage during the evening.

This information is just to affirm you in your work and to know that people are showing up, though not necessarily committed on the schedule. By the grace of God. Praise Him!!!

And this morning at St Francis, I lifted up the 40 Days aloud during petitions, and also at rosary afterwards. 6 people there will also be showing up, though they do not have computers to register.
